• 04/07/02 - The fifth game in The Natwest Series against India and England was spoilt by the British weather which had the last say and the match was abandoned. However there was enough play to see a magnificent unbeaten 105 run century by Tendulkar who was well supported by Dravid with 82 as India amassed an impressive 285. There was also some big hitting at the death by Yuvraj Singh who smashed 40 runs from only 19 balls! England did manage to face 12 and a half overs before the rain set in and lost Trescothick for a spritely 23. Knight and Hussain were the players left not out and both teams received 2 points leaving them tied for the lead of the series but with India having a game in hand. The next match is a day match between Sri Lanka and India on Saturday.

• 02/07/02 - England clinched a rain reduced fourth match in The Natwest Series against Sri Lanka by three wickets in a tense encounter. The match was reduced to a 32 over affair after overnight and morning rain had made the ground impossible to play on at at the scheduled start of play. Batting first Jayasuriya put the English bowling to the sword, scoring an amazing 112 off only 87 balls and etching his name in the record books for the fastest century scored in England. The Sri Lankans amassed an impressive 240 from their 32 overs which could have been even better if it hadn't been for some very tight bowling from Flintoff who took 2 wickets for only 18 runs from his 7 overs. Englands chase got off to a bad start losing Knight in the first over but Trescothick hung around and smashed 82 runs off only 60 balls to keep his side in the hunt. The match went right to the wire until local lad Darren Gough hit the winning runs with 4 balls remaining. The next match is a day/night match between England and India on Thursday.

• 13/05/02 - Congratulations to the team victoria, what do u want from him, want from him? for winning the New Zealand Tour of Pakistan and the Century of Cricket video! Second place went to Da Bluz who was only 16 points behind the leader in the closest finish that we've had yet. Third place was picked up by marauders who was very consistent throughout the series. • 08/05/02 - New Zealand has called off the rest of their tour of Pakistan after a large car bomb exploded next to the Karachi hotel they were staying in. The massive suicide bomb killed at least 14 people just as the Black Caps were about to leave for their match. Most of the windows in the hotel were blown out. The tour was cancelled almost immediately and the players are now on their way back to New Zealand. This means that the Series ends here prematurely and all points and rankings for the series remain as they were at the end of the first test.

• 17/04/02 - Congratulations to snafu for taking out the Sharjah Cup Series despite getting no points from Muralitharan in the last round! GrooveJets picked up second place 47 points behind the leader and third place goes to Magic 12 who came out of nowhere in the last round to step up to the podium. • 09/04/02 - Congratulations to TonyCombined for winning the Australian Tour of South Africa ODI Series! A close second place went to cullyxv51 who was pipped by only 26 points and third place goes to snackfood with some very consistent scores throughout the series. • 04/04/02 - Congratulations to Bay Imports for winning the New Zealand vs. England Series and the tee-shirt from thesilverfern.co.nz conference with a staggering 3680 points! Second place went to Let The Knee Heel who was at the top of the table for most of the Series and third place goes to Hammer Introduces Cricket To Japan who made a late serge in the last match to make it onto the podium.
