| Welcome! |
| Welcome
to CricketManager.net, the fantasy cricket competition!
Have you ever thought you could do a better job than the
selectors? Well here's your chance! CricketManager.net
puts you in charge! |
| Playing
is easy! |
| You
select the players for your team for actual international
matches. Then after each match the players you selected
earn you points depending on how well they performed.
Before each match starts you can transfer players in and
out of your team at your will. You don't even have to
select a proper team! Select a team full of bowlers if
you want, the selections are in your hands! |
| Joining
a series |
| Once
you have created a membership and/or logged in, you will
be taken to a page that lists all of the series that are
available to play. Under each open series that you want
to join, click on the link 'Add Team'. You then need to
type in a name for your team. This name doesn't have to
be unique to any other team name but it can be a bit confusing
if more than one team has the same name. You can enter
as many teams as you like into a particular series. |
| Selecting
your team |
| Click
on your team name link to go to your teams page. Here
you will see your teams status, current players and statistics.
Towards the top of the screen will be a message in red
displaying the required number of players you need to
make your team valid. To purchase a player click on the
link 'Add Player' or 'Player List' in the left hand menu.
Each player has a purchase price and your team has a limited
bank balance so choose your players wisely! Player prices
are updated daily after the first match is completed and
can go up or down depending on ownership and points earned. |
| Transfering
Players |
| You
can sell a player you have bought by clicking on their
name in your team or the player lists, then clicking the
'Sell Player' link. The current players price is then
added to your bank balance. Before the series begins you
have unlimited transfers, but once it has started you
will have a set number of transfers. After each match
your team will be awarded more transfers that are added
on to the number that you already have. Once a match has
commenced there will be no trading allowed for two hours.
After that time, trading will re-open for the next match
(or the next innings in a test match as the case may be). |
| Points |
Points
are awarded for every player in your team depending on
how well they have performed in each match. The following
table outlines the points structure:

Batsmans Strike Rate over 100 = 1 point for every run
scored that is over the number of balls faced
Bowlers Economy Rate under 4 = 1 point for every run below
4 times the overs bowled
For Test matches the points are calculated on an Economy Rate of 3 |
| Conferences |
| Conferences
contain groups of teams that compete against each other
in a kind of mini competition. You can create your own
conference and invite all your mates to join it to see
just who amongst you really knows their cricket. When
you are a member of a conference you are able to view
each others team details, but obviously you can not make
changes to their team. When you first add a team to a
series your team is automatically included into the 'Public
Conference'. You can add your team into another conference
by clicking on the 'Change Conference' link on your team
page. From here you can also create your own public or
private conferences. |
| Conference
Chat Rooms |
| On
the conference page you will find a link to the chat room.
Here you can write a message to all other members of the conference. Messages
are limited to 1000 characters, but you can send as many as you like. |
